Funeral services for Maegen Atchley, age 17, of Dew, Texas will be Thursday at First Baptist Church in Teague, Texas with burial to follow at Dew Cemetery under the direction of Capps Memorial Chapel, Fairfield. Miss Atchley passed away Sunday, June 20, 1989.

Maegen was born June 20, 1989. She was a senior at Teague High School at the time of her death. She was an active member of Corinth Church in Dew. Maegan had joined the US Navy through delayed entry. She played softball for Team MAGIC of Centerville #19 and also played Softball #10 and basketball #30 for Teague Lions. She was an active member of the Dew Volunteer Fire Department #562.
Maegen has one older brother Sgt. Mitchell Glenn Atchley who has joined her in heaven, and a younger brother, Jordan Russell. Grandparents, Dwight and Norma Dee Atchley rest beside their beloved Maegen.
Her spirit is strong and lives on.
