Miss Kitty came into our lives the day we were taking a dog to the vet. She waltzed onto the property like she owned the place. We named her "Miss Kitty" after the character from "Gunsmoke" - both with a heart of gold, tough, stubborn women! Miss Kitty thought she was a dog - she wanted to eat with the dogs, she even stopped using the litter box and used the doggie door to do her business. She even accompanied us on our evening walks with the dogs; she usually showed back at home after the sunset. Sadly, Miss Kitty did not return from a walk in October 2012. It is believed she met with an unfriendly critter in the woods. We never recovered any remains and we continued to hold out hope she would return home.
