Bio substantially from Funeral Home site (GannonFuneral.com):
"Santo "Sandy" Joseph Bueme of Lake View, NY, passed away on September 2, 2016, of natural causes. He was eighty-nine years old.

Santo was born on the West Side of Buffalo, NY, to Angelina and Joseph, and was older brother to Josephine (late Rocco) Navarro, the late Anthony Bueme, and the late Mary (late Joseph) Tantillo. In 1948, he and Helen "Bebe" (nee Kucharczyk) wed and were married nearly 67 years until her death in February, 2015. They were the parents of Judith (Paul, Esq.) Michalek and Joseph (Amy) Bueme; grandfather of Jane (Hon. Jeffrey) Harrington, Esq., Paul (Christine) Michalek, Jr., Esq., Mary Pat (Joseph) Bielecki and Sydney, Ava, Annabell, and Joseph Bueme, Jr.; also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many neices and nephews.

Mr. Bueme was a retiree of Niagara Mohawk, employed at the Huntley Station in Tonawanda, NY. In the 1950s, he also ran B&B Heating and Hardware alongside his cousin and partner, Carl Bueme, on Seneca Street in South Buffalo until the 1960s when they established Bueme Construction. Together they built residential homes throughout Lackawanna, West Seneca, and Orchard Park for over twenty years. From the 1970s through the 1990s, he became a principal officer in Bueme Development Corporation, a real estate company involved in many businesses in West Seneca, including Wimbledon Apartments and Wimbledon Plaza. Finally, he was Principal Partner in Oakridge Estates, a successful residential real estate venture in West Seneca and Amherst, until mid-summer of 2016.

Santo and his wife were avid runners, continuing into their early eighties and competing in marathons and races throughout Western New York and New York State. He was the winner of countless running awards, including Runner of the Year many times over, in his age group. His "final race" ended in the early hours of September 2, and it is with heavy hearts that the family says goodbye to a man who defined hard work, success, family, and love."
