BEAM

Mr. Ivan Elsworth Beam, 100, passed away April 3, 2011.

He had been a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, and was a charter member of the Agape Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. Dannie L. Smith.

Mr. Beam was employed as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the Local Carpenter's Union.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lulu Mae Beam; sons, Lyndon I. (Cathy), Michael D. and Dale S. Beam; daughters, Cheryl L. Freeman (George T.) and Deborah E. Sheffield; stepson, Robert Potter; stepdaughters, Rose Barkley and Sandra Takach; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Braddock; other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held TODAY at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, from 5 until 7 PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 7, 2011, in the chapel, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
