Winston Jones was a son of Joel Walker Jones and Martha C Gee (who are buried at Old Live Oak Cemetery, Selma Alabama) and nephew to Gov John Anthony Winston, Civil War time governor of Alabama. He was born in Alabama, lived the majority of his life in Mobile and died there at his home in 1922. There is no monument in place over his grave.
