OTIS F. BURGOYNE FINAL RITES HELD - EDEN, March 27 - Funeral services were held for Otis F. Burgoyne at the L.D.S. hall here Monday afternoon under the direction of Bishop Carl S. George. Invocation was read by Elder Paul Okleberry and the obituary was presented by Leslie Juchau.
Speakers included Bishop J. O. Gardner, Bishop Edward Little and Bishop George. The benediction was offered by Elder Howard Schwab. Two duets were sung by Mrs. Christine Romney and Mrs. Freda Juchau, accompanied by Betty Lou Black, and Mrs. Carl Rugh and Mrs. Bruce Gordon, accompanied by Dorothy Hawley.
Pallbearers were Lamar Black, Jule LaJuennessee, Ted Schwartz, Benny Vice, Paul Swenson and Charles Kniforg.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls, under the direction of the Twin Falls mortuary. The grave was dedicated by Elder Juchau.
PARENTS OF OTIS: Otis Burgoyne's father, James Burgoyne, passed away Sunday, July 7, 1907, at Otis's home in Nippawalla Township, Barber County, Kansas, according to the "Medicine Lodge Cresset" dated July 12, 1907, page 1. The mother of Otis, Sarah Jane Hoskinson, survived her husband according to the newspaper.
