Shelley L. (Carpenter) Brannon, 64, beloved wife and mother passed away on January 14, 2015 surrounded by her family at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Fort wayne. Shelley battled with dementia and Alzheimer's disease for many years. She was born on February 9, 1950 in Bloomington, IN to parents Don R. and G. Lavon Carpenter. She graduated from Delta High SChool in Muncie in 1968. She attemded Missouri Valley College and returned to Muncie to graduate from Amber's Beauty College and then worked at Hilbert's Beauty Shop. She also worked at Delaware Country Farm Bureau Coop in Muncie; Peterbilt of Nashville TN; Estridge Homes in Carmel, IN; and Dealer's Engine Sales in Indianapolis. She worked most recently for Perfection Bakeries until 2003. She married her husband Jim on March 31, 1978. She is survived by her husband James J. Brannon, daughters, Abigail (Wes) Ramsey and Stephanie (Ross) Yoder both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Taylor and Aaron Ramsey; and Hudson Yoder; brother-in-law, Melvin (Kathy) Brannon of Muncie,IN; brother Robert M. Carpenter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Service is 10:30 am , Monday, January 19, 2015 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 1:00 pm-3 pm and 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Parkview Hospice.
