Born in Canton, NC, she relocated to Hampton, VA in 1963. She is survived by her children, Marsha Poston and Edward Holland (Shannon); brother, Paul Mintz; grandchildren, Patresa, Marcie, Marc, Megan, Josiah and Irene; 15 great-grandchildren; extended family, including Lee Jarrett, Barbara Stiller and Wanda Ward. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Holland; son, Leroy Holland; parents, Will and Channie Mintz; sisters, Lucille Creasman and Frances Edwards. Helen retired from the USPS. She later joined her husband in their calling to serve the Lord as caretakers at the Virginia Church of God State Campground in Roanoke, VA until returning back to Hampton. Helen was the epitome of elegant class, kindness and righteousness. A member of Parkview Church of God, she was a humble servant of the Lord. The funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m. with the Burial to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
