She was born to Frank and Cordie Livingston Mathis on Aug. 5, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, David Russell Pardue, and two daughters, Carol Jodine Pardue and Linda Pardue Ross.
She is survived by a daughter, Penny Simmons and husband, Sam, of Thurmond; two brothers, Bruce Mathis and wife, Ruby, of Walkertown and Bobby Mathis and wife, Sarah, of King; two sisters, Frankie Smith and husband, Calvin, of Greensboro and Phillis Goodin of Missouri; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
