James Dean Harmon was my nephew. He was born a healthy bouncing baby boy, sadly, James Dean went to be with Jesus in heaven shortly before his 5th month birthday. His cause of death was listed as SIDS. James' corneas were donated to a needy recipient and he was cremated. Unfortunately, my family never got to meet him before he passed.

It broke my family's heart to learn of baby James' death. When my Dad was told of this tragedy he sobbed over the phone. I had never heard my Dad cry before, it was heartbreaking to hear. He kept saying, "I've never lost a child of mine (he had 7) and I just cannot understand how a grandchild of mine has died at such a tender age! I'm absolutely devastated by this news!" I couldn't agree more, what a tragedy, what a loss, what happened?!?

My Dad died 2.5 years later and we scattered James' ashes with my Dad's ashes over the beautiful Pacific Ocean off the coast of Long Beach, CA.

Rest in peace sweet angel baby boy, until we all get to heaven to finally meet you! You were loved by us even though we never got to meet you here on earth.
