Obituary for Philip Peter "Biff" Newsham

Philip Peter "Biff" Newsham departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 3rd. A native New Orleanian, Biff Newsham moved to St. George Island, Fl. where he applied his trade as a chef creating tantalizing food for a most appreciative clientele. Biff learned and loved the natural beauty of the Forgotten Coast where he found his passion for fishing, camping, and his continuing love for the game of golf.

In 2005, Biff moved to the city of Tallahassee, Fl. where he eventually found a solid place to professionally continue to enrich the culinary experience of the members of Killearn Country Club, a place which was next to home for him. He quickly made many friends and won sizeable respect for his ability to inspire happiness and beauty with his offerings of Cajun/Creole, Nouvelle Orleans, Greek, and Classic American dishes.

A dyed-in-the-wool New Orleans Saints and LSU Football fan, Biff would watch the local games broadcasted, and wear headphones to hear WWL radio and the sounds of Saints football. Fantasy Football was also something he relished with tenacity.

"The Biffer" is survived by his brother, Tanner Newsham of Tallahassee, his sister, Sally Inglis of the San Diego, Cal. area; aunts, uncles, a multitude of cousins, and many beautiful and loving friends. May he forever be within the graceful embrace of the Lord God Almighty. He shall be missed here on Earth.
