Doris was born in Oxbow, Sk in 1915. She married George Manson in 1934. They lived in many places including Coronation, Red Deer, Minnedosa and Penticton.
Doris taught piano, played with the Minnedosa Orchestra, and was a lifelong member of the Order of the Royal Purple. (The female auxiliary of the Elks of Canada.)
Doris passed away in Red Deer, AB. She is survived by a daughter, granddaughter, 5 grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and 4 great grandsons. Doris was predeceased by her husband George in 1991, son Douglas in 2002, and son-in-law Archie in 2007.
A Celebration of Doris' Life was held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (Calgary) on Monday, December 17, 2007.
