CASSELL, Wilbur B. - Age 78, of Burton, passed away Monday, July 5, 1999 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 1999 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Flint, with Rev. Jeffrey Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cassell was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 7, 1921, the son of Abraham and Maybelle (Morgan) Cassell. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago, IL, moving to Burton in 1990.
Surviving are: wife, Estelle; 2 daughters, Ruth (Kenneth) Langdon of Flint and Nancy (Eugene) Workman of Minneapolis, MN; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
