Son of Clairville W. Bloxom, Sr. and Mamie Cutler Bloxom.

Husband of Dorothy Hurley Bloxom.

Father of C. William (Bill) Bloxom III, Karen B. Gabriszeski, and Laura F. (Lolly) Beauchamp.

He grew up helping his father in their general store attached to their house and graduated from Temperanceville High School in 1938. During World War II, he proudly served on the destroyer U.S.S. Knapp in the Pacific. In 1949, he married Dorothy Hurley Bloxom, and is survived by her.

C.W. was a member of Lynnhaven Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, where he served as a deacon, a trustee, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the sanctuary building committee. He was the manager of Feldman Brothers Furniture store in Pocomoke City for 38 years until he retired in 1987. He was on the Board of Directors of Hartley Hall Nursing Home for 40 years and served as the first president. He became a Director Emeritus upon retirement. He was a former member and first president of the Pocomoke Chapter of Kiwanis Club. In 1962, he was elected to the Pocomoke City Council and served until 1968. He was on the Board of Election Supervisors of Pocomoke from 1988 to 1991.

C.W. was an avid reader and crossword puzzler and enjoyed woodworking. During the late 1960's he was a partner in a part-time camping trailer business and spent many happy days on camping trips with his family.
