Philipp, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel was the third son of the Landgrave and Landgravine of Hesse-Kassel. He married Princess Mafalda of Savoy on September 23, 1925 in Turin, Italy. Philipp died on October 25, 1980 in Rome, Italy at the age of eighty-three.
