He was born May 4, 1942, in Piedmont, Mo., son of the late Everet and Lucy (Darden) Henson.
He was united in marriage to Bertha Barfield Jan. 27, 1978, in Piedmont. She preceded him in death April 1, 2001.
Mr. Henson had worked for J & W. Contracting. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by five children, William (Dottie) Henson, Coolidge, Ariz., Laura Wilkins, Charles Wilkins, Cheryl (Bones) Smith, all of Piedmont, Kenneth (Katrina) Wilkins, Patterson; two brothers, Paul (Vivian) Henson, all of Piedmont; with 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernie, Henry and Nayman, and one sister, Thelma.
The funeral was held Dec. 7 at Morrison-Worley funeral Chapel, Piedmont, with Rev. Wayne Street officiating. Music was provided by Roberta and Danny McFadden, George Brinkley and Erik HensonPallbearers were Bill Henson, Jacob Smith, Steve Brame, Richard, Brian, Dennis and Kevin Henson and John McAllister. Burial was in Mill Spring Cemetery.
