Mary Ann was the daughter of the late John McIver Nicholson and Blanche McIntyre Nicholson of Mount Gilead.
As owner and operator of The Friendly Beauty Shop in Mount Gilead, Mary Ann served the community for over 60 years. She was a lifetime member of Concord United Methodist Church in Ellerbe.
She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Lionel Keith Nicholson and sister-in-law, Amelia Bridges Nicholson of Chesterfield, Virginia.
Mary Ann is survived by a brother, James McIver Nicholson and wife Dot McFayden Nicholson of Ellerbe; nieces, Linda Nicholson Mabe (Carl) of Asheboro and Laurie Nicholson of Blowing Rock; and a nephew, Terry Nicholson (Terri) of Narrows, Virginia.
