Edith Weatherholt was born March 17, 1895, near Monroe, Michigan, and came to this region with her parents at an early age. The family settled at Old Mission. She was united in marriage to Albert Pierce of Kingsley on June 13, 1919, and he preceded her in death July 7, 1920. On January 22, 1927, she was united in marriage to Charles Labatt of Traverse City. the couple operated a grocery store in this city 20 years. Mr. LaBatt preceded her in death in 1961. Burial was in the family lot in Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.
