James E. Hennebohle, Sr.

December 1, 1951 - April 10, 2016 Resided in Pinellas Park, FL

James "Jim" Edward Hennebohle Sr., 64, was born December, 1, 1951 in Hammond, Indiana to parents Vernon and Thelma Hennebohle (both now deceased).

He moved to Florida in 1957 and attended local schools, graduating from Dixie Hollins High School in June of 1969.

On November, 14, 1970, he married Sandra Williams-Hennebohle. In June of 1972, their son James Edward Hennebohle Jr. was born.

James made a career in the automotive industry. He was currently employed at Dimmitt Cadillac in the body shop repairing exotic and luxury car brands such as Bentley, Tesla, Maserati, McLaren and many more. He was an auto body technician for 46 years.

James was a hardworking man, dedicated employee, loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was very important to him.

His interests included fishing, working on his home he planned to retire in, and spending time with friends and family. In the 1970's, Jim worked on many racecars at Sunshine Speedway. Some of the drivers he helped were Lester Slone, Kenny Alderman, Jim Gray, and Gary Patnaude. Later he would pilot the number 39 Late Model until 1977 when he moved his family to Hickory, North Carolina. There, he met Busch Grand National driver, Tommy Houston and began to help him from time to time. The following year, he made the move to Charlotte, North Carolina and opened his own body shop in the downtown area of Charlotte.

After his father's passing in 1983, he then moved back to Florida from Charlotte to be there for his mother and grandmother.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandy, a son, James Jr., daughter-in-law, Brenda, three grandchildren, Aislyn, Cameron, and Katelyn and his two yorkies Maggie and Molly that were close to his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Thelma.

Remembering Jim on this day, we are all comforted by so many great memories. The passing of time awakens in our hearts the cry for permanence of our loved ones, despite the unfortunate inevitability of demise. We shall cherish the time spent with him and he will live on in our hearts and our minds. We will miss him deeply as friends and family. - www. brettfuneralhome. net
