MITCHELL, JOHN MICHAEL, 48, residing on Oakland St., South Bend, passed away at 11:06 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2005, at the North Lake Methodist Hospital, Gary, IN, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
John was born on September 29, 1957, in Fairdale, to William Emerson and Georgia (McCoy) Mitchell. John worked with T.R. Arnold & Associates in Elkhart. He was a graduate from Fairdale High School and from Eastern Kentucky University. His father, William, preceded him in death. John is survived by one daughter, Alexandra Mitchell; two sons, Joshua and Joseph Mitchell; and their mother, his former wife, Karen Lynne Mitchell, all living in South Bend; his mother, Georgia Mitchell of Fairdale; four sisters, Judy Jager (William), Patty Milliner, Debbie Wittry (Donald) and Sherry Sizemore (David), all of Fairdale; and two brothers, William Mitchell of South Bend and James Mitchell (Sue Ann) of Fairdale. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2005, at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY, with burial to follow in Mount Holly Cemetery, Fairdale. Friends may visit with the family from noon-8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Fairdale- McDaniel Funeral Home.
