Dolores Webb Remley went to her new home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 3rd 2016. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 14th, 1919 to Grace and Oscar Crews, Dolores attended Kirby Smith and Andrew Jackson High School. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist and Murray Hill Baptist Church and was always involved in church activities until her health declined.
Dolores was predeceased by husbands Eugene T. Webb (49 years) and Robert Remley (18 years) and was the last of 7 siblings.
Survivors include her children Barbara LaBelle (Bob), Judson Webb (Durenda), daughter-in-law Gail Webb, grandchildren Kevin LaBelle (Frances), John LaBelle, Rebecca Webb, Lee Webb, one great-grandchild Luke Webb, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Living 97 years leaves a long line of memories and, amazingly enough, all are good memories. Everyone who knew or met Dolores remembered her. She was always positive, happy, and loving. She knew she could not fix all of life's problems, but she knew God could. Her life was filled with people who loved her. In return, she loved them.
Always a good friend, lending a listening ear, or gently giving good advice, Dolores will be missed greatly on this earth. Although we have lost a precious mother, grandmother, Baba, and friend, those who are born again will see her again. Heaven will be graced with her beauty and presence. She was a true lady and a blessing to her family. We will always love you.
Visitation services will be held Thursday from 10-11am at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 followed by a funeral service.
Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park.
