----From Paper"----
Auburn--of Mechanic Falls, passed peacefully at the Hospice House on Monday, June 20, with her family by her side.
She was born 'Anna Loretta Churchill' in Lewiston, on Sept.30.1949, the daughter of the late Lovell and Roma Rich Churchill.

Anna graduated from McFalls High School with Class of 1967, and because she always desired to be a Secretary, she continued her education at 'Auburn Maine School of Commerce, later renamed 'Mid-State College.'
Upon completing her courses there, she married Gaston (Butch) LaFlamme, and together they had a beautiful daughter, Stacey, before separating. It was during this same time that Anna was hired by 'The Concord Group Insurance Co.' in Auburn, when she worked for nearly 30 years. Worked her way up to Inside Adjuster, of which she was very proud. When she left her job there, it was so she could help take care of her three young grandchildren, who were, and remained to always be, the pride and joy of her life.

In Aug 1996, Anna married Milton Walker, after having been together for 10 years. Together they enjoyed bowling, cross-country skiing and traveling in their motor home. They traveled to Canada, Florida, Missouri, Virginia, Georgia, and New York, as well as local places. They also enjoyed taking bus trips with friends to places such as Foxwoods and Atlantic City.

One of Anne's most favorite places during the summer was Green Pond, where they would park the motor home for a few days at a time and enjoy the pond. She loved to swim and ride the paddle boat around the pond with Milt, looking for turtles and fish, and saying hello to neighbors. She would always invite her sister and bro-in-law to come swim or bring their kayaks. Anna also loved having her great-nephews and great niece over for the day, when they were visiting from New Hampshire. And she always made sure she had ice-cream for them.

Anna was a much-loved member of the community and will be greatly missed. She and Milt often would walk to the center of McFalls to have a meal at Kathy's Diner-- a favorite place of theirs to eat and meet with good friends.

She is survived by her husband, Milton Walker of Mechanic Falls; a daughter, Stacey York and son-in-law, David, of Mechanic Falls; one sister, Rena Berry and brother-in-law, Walter, of McFalls; three grandchildren, Matthew and Derek York of McFalls, and Ciera York of Frederick, VA; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by her Parents, Lovell & Roma..

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff for the outstanding support and care of Anna, was given these past several days at the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. Also, the several wonderful nurses and doctors who took such great care of her when she was in the ICU; both Central Maine Medical Center "CMMC". We also wish thank Anna's many friends and family, whom she loved and who loved her throughout her life. Thank You for your visits, prayers and well wishes.
