A native of Shelbyville , she was the daughter of the late Anna Pearl Beach
Allen and D.I. Thomas.
She was employed for many years in the dietary department of Jewish Hospital Shelbyville and for a few years in the prison system at LaGrange, where her sweet spirit touched the prisoners.
She became a mother figure to many of the as she was a very nurturing individual .
She was a member Kingdom Christian Church in Louisville for the past five years, where she taught children's Sunday School.
She had been a faithful member of Campbellsburg Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She loved praising and serving the Lord.
In addition to her parents , sister, Janice Allen, preceded her in death.
Survivors include of five years, Richard, son, Robert, daughters, Christy and Angela, stepson, Anthony, sisters, Peggy and Joyce, brothers, Lee,
James and Tony, six grandchildren, Deonte, Elijah, Jasmin, Amare, Amiyah, and Bryson; four step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service at Clay Street Baptist Church.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery Shelbyville.
