Resident of Fremont
Elsie Beck quietly passed away at the age of 94. Elsie was born in Santa Clara, CA, to Joseph and Jessie Vierra. She was the second youngest of 12 children and the last surviving sibling.
Elsie was happily married to Vernon Beck for 71 years. They settled in Hayward and that is where they raised their three sons. During this time Elsie worked for Mother's Cookies in Oakland, where she retired after nearly 30 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon and their son, Gene. Elsie is survived by her sons Kenneth (Kathy) Beck and Steven (Robin) Beck; her cherished 7 grandchildren; and her beloved 12 great-grandchildren.
Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and her favorite past time was playing the slots and boy was she lucky! A hardworking, feisty woman with a generous heart, who will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Visitation beginning at 5PM & to the Vigil at 7PM both on Friday June 24th, and to the Funeral Service on Saturday 25th, at 10:30 AM, all at Holy Angels Funeral and Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd, Hayward. Committal will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
