Formerly from Hutchison, Kansas, where he retired as owner/co-founder from Haven Steel Co., which he started in 1969. He served in the US Army during WWII where he landed at Omaha Beach on D Day in 1944. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include his wife Joann Albro, 2 sons, Scott Albro and Ned Albro, one daughter Suzi Davis, 2 step-daughters, Dawn DeLaurentis and Staci Folker, 4 grandchildren, Patrick Davis, Christina Strait, Beth Son and Elizabeth Seibert, 5 step-grandchildren, Danielle Winkle, Amanda Ketay, Lindsay Folker, Zac Folker and Richard Ketay, and 5 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Carol Bates, his son, George Albro, and his first wife, Patty Albro.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday June 5, at 10:00 a.m. United Methodist Church, Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
