She is also remembered for playing the part of 'Fran Fine's' grandmother 'Yetta Rosenberg' on the 1990s situation comedy "The Nanny". She studied theater arts at Stanford University and made her first television appearance on the sitcom "My Three Sons" in 1961. Besides "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Nanny", her long list of television credits include "The Andy Griffith Show", "Adam-12", "I Dream of Jeannie", "Room 222", "The Partridge Family", "Emergency!", "The Fanelli Boys", and "Picket Fences". She also appeared in a number of films during her long career including "How Sweet It Is!", "Grumpier Old Men", "Please Give", and "Sour Grapes". She also acted on the stage in various theatrical productions throughout the years. She was still working in the acting profession when she passed away of cancer.
