An avid cyclist, Todd was well-known in the Southside cycling community.
Todd was born in Pensacola FL. While moving a lot as part of a military family, he moved to Fayetteville in the late 70's. The Fayetteville High School graduate joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1981. He proudly served through 1985 and was an infantry squad leader. After attending DeVry Institute, Todd worked in IT starting at Scitex America, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and most recently Eaton in Peachtree City.
Todd was a well-respected cyclist always there to help others, giving his guidance and expertise to those who could benefit from it.
He was well-known for his accomplishments in mountain biking including being the 2008 and 2009 Xterra Champion. Todd was also an accomplished road cyclist, and was on a ride with friends at the time of his passing. His leadership in the cycling community will be greatly missed.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Clyde Atkins and his mother, Joan Patricia Atkins.
He is survived by his brother, Jonathan Atkins and his wife Kristi of Peachtree City, GA.
