Cpl. James Lee Bridges of Buhl, Idaho was known as Doug at Buhl High School. He was the kid that others went to when they had a bad day and was well liked by other students. Following his graduation in 2003, he joined the Army that July and was assigned to Fort Wainwright the following November. Doug completed his basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia was currently in Iraq on the second part of his first tour of duty where he had been stationed in Iraq since July of 2005. He was a good welder with great mechanical aptitude. He loved rock climbing, mountain climbing, and was an avid bird watcher. While in high school, Doug enjoyed soccer and was a member of FFA. He was 22.
