Henry O. Tisdale, 58, of Pekin, passed away at 2:06 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Springfield.
He was born October 7, 1953 in Spokane, Washington to Howard Guy and Helen Viola (Hindman) Tisdale. He married Ida-May Hilst on January 26, 1974 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife; three sons: Guy, David and Samuel Tisdale, all of Pekin; two daughters: Stacy (Jamie) West of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Elizabeth (David) Myers of Augusta, Georgia; eight grandchildren; one brother: Harold Tisdale of Pekin; and one sister: Judy (Freddie) Beckham of Sunnyland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Henry was a truck driver for 24 years, retiring in May, 2011.
He was an avid Jeff Gordon #24 NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on cars.
Henry was a devout Christian who was always helping his fellow man.
He was a 1973 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
Henry's funeral will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
