Edward J. "Eddie" Miller, 73, of 1215 Elgin Ave., Houston, a native of Streator, Ill., had been a Houston resident for 63 years. He was a business representative of Houston Movie Operators Local No. 279, vice-president of of International Alliance Theatrical Stage Employees of the United States and Canada, 50-year member of Temple Lodge No. 4, Scottish Rite and Arabia Temple Shrine and a charter member of the Variety Club.
Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Hazel Rees Miller; daughter, Nan Grey Laine and son-in-law, Frankie Laine of San Diego, California; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons, all of Los Angeles, California; a number of nieces and nephews.
Body to lie in state at the Houston Movie Operators Home, 1815 Walker Ave. at Hamilton St., Tuesday, February 12, from 2 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Funeral services 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Linam officiating. Graveside services Hollywood Cemetery under auspices of Temple Lodge No. 4, A.F. & A.M.
