CECIL, ROBERT OLDRON, 83, of Louisville, formerly of Raywick, KY, was called to his heavenly father on Monday, October 30, 2006 at Jewish Hospital. He retired from Ford Motor Company.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Geraldine; and three brothers, Gus, George and Clyde.

He was the loving father of eight children, Barbara Whitaker (Ronnie), Danny Cecil Sr. (Kathy), Martha Hellmann (David), Phyllis Matlock (Ronnie), Robert Carl Cecil (Patsy), Lou Ann Duvall (Phil), Debbie Hewitt (Curtis) and Robert Gerald Cecil (Laura); 15 grandchildren, Lisa, Mark, Danny Jr., Kristen, Sharon, David Jr., Jason, Tim, Jennifer, Christopher, Phil Jr., Suzanne, Megan, Ashley and Brad; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by five brothers, Ambrose, Clyde, Mike, Harold and Bert; and three sisters, Kathleen Blandford, Dorothy Mills and Gladys Brown.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Anthanasius Catholic Church, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Donations may be made to masses at St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

Robert Oldron Cecil, 83, Louisville, died Oct. 30, 2006, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Cecil was retired from Ford Motor Company.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Geraldine Cecil; and three brothers, Gus, George and Clyde Cecil.

Survivors include: five daughters, Barbara Whitaker, Martha Hellmann, Phyllis Matlock, Lou Ann Duvall and Debbie Hewitt; three sons, Danny, Sr., Robert Carl and Gerald Cecil; five brothers, Ambrose, Clyde, Mike, Harold and Bert Cecil; three sisters, Kathleen Blandford, Dorothy Mills and Gladys Brown; and 15 grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held Nov. 2 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Louisville with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville. Memorial donations can be made to Masses at St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Highlands Funeral Home, Louisville, was in charge of the arrangements.
