Mrs. Callahan died on Saturday, Feb. 15th. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Callahan; her parents, Charlie & Isabell (Jordan) Ray; brother, Walter Ray; sisters, Annie Mae, Lillian, & Selma. She is survived by daughters, Helen Callahan; Dorothy Hampton of Waynesville, NC; brother, Randolph Ray of Whittier; three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. Interment followed funeral services conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2003, in the chapel of the Moody Funeral Home in Sylva, NC; Revs. Harry Vance & Eddie Stillwell officiating.
