During the 1972 season, in which the Dolphins were a perfect 14 and 0 (17 and 0 including post season games), Leigh was primarily used as a return specialist and had 22 punt returns for 210 yards. In 80 career regular season games, Leigh had 72 rushes for 372 yards with 2 touchdowns, 46 kickoff returns for 1082 yards and 50 punt returns for 368 yards. Cause of death: Lung cancer.
