Graveside services for Sonny Flores, age 99 will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Slaughter Cemetery in Rodessa, LA with Bishop Kevin Rougeau officiating.

Sonny was born in El Dorado, AR on June 18, 1916 to Willie C. and Myrtis Gibson Flores, Sr. and passed away on May 26, 2016 at the Vivian Health Care after a lengthy illness. He was a welder by trade and member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Atlanta. TX. Sonny love to bowl, play golf and an avid New York Yankees fan.

Sonny was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kat Flores and sister, Dot Crowder. He is survived by his sons, Bob Flores and wife, Suzanne, Dan Flores and wife, Sarah and daughter, Sunny Jean Flores Watts and husband, Charles; sisters, Sandra Bruce and husband, Sam and Hattie Thornton. Sonny is also survived by his grandchildren, Chuck Watts, Theresa Janecek, Joey Flores and Tamara Barton; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Sonny as pallbearers will be Chuck Watts, Bryson Janecek, Braydon Janecek, Tate Burton, Spencer Burton and Greg Janecek.
