He took basic training at Indian Town Gap, Pennsylvania and transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve (active) in San Bernardino, Ca. in June 1956 after moving there with his parents. He received an honorable discharge in 1963.
He loved to play pool and cards especially cribbage.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.
He was 70 years and 5 months when he lost his battle with cancer.
