He was born August 29, 1934, son of Henry and Marie (DuMont) Phillips Keller Sr. As a lifelong resident of Aurora, Jack was a dedicated and loving father of his wife and children, while also being employed at Teledyne Pines for 27 years. He served as a Corporal in the Marines during his time in Korea and received honorable discharge. In Jack's spare time he created a small family company called "Keller Enterprises" in which he successfully created several inventions, such as his highly successful Sock Helper Plus. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, an avid pool player and a member of VFW.
Jack will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Not only will Jack be remembered as an honorable and Christian man that would give his last to help someone in need, but will also be remembered for his dedication, and determination in everything he did in life.
He is survived by his children, Connie (Jeff) Land, Joseph (Jill) Keller, Mary Britton and Brenda (Richard Porter) Keller; grandchildren, William (Ashley) Land, Joseph (Overys) Keller, Jennifer (Robin) Narney, Riki (Stephanie) Duck, Jaclyn Britton, A.J. (Cady) Britton, Daniel and Samuel Keller; Eight Great-Grandchildren; sister, Carol Dennin and brother, Bill Keller. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Keller; infant daughter, Wendy Keller; parents, Henry Keller Sr. and Marie (DuMont) Phillips; step-father, Don Phillips; and siblings Margaret, Edward, Gerald, and Patrick
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4 PM - 8 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the funeral home with Fr. Joachim Tyrtania officiating, followed by a graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
