"Papa John" age 68, a resident of Pasadena, Maryland, for 39 years, died peacefully at his home on February 21, 2016. He was born in Baltimore on January 14, 1948 to the late Elvira and Elmer Reed Sr.

He worked as a sheet metal mechanic, and enjoyed building different things in his workshop, helping his 3 daughters with painting, and working on their houses. What he loved most was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister Alma Petway (Reed), his brother Elmer Reed Jr., and his first daughter Lisa A. Reed. He is survived by his 3 daughters: Christy A. Reed (Fiancé David Walls) of Pasadena, Lori A. Warren-Reed (Husband Guy Warren) also, of Pasadena, and Nikki L. Reed (Fiancé Eric Critzman) of Baltimore. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Dustin T. Reed, Destiny A. Reed, Nathan D. Walls, Shane E. Walls, Gavin A. Walls, Gage T. Warren, Dakota C. Warren, Kaylynn E. Smith and Tyler R. Critzman. Also surviving are his siblings: sisters Elvira Lucus of Baltimore, and Dorothy Reed of Sarasota Florida, and brother Thomas Reed Sr. of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

His wish was for no special services for him.

💖A little special note from his girls: Our Father was the most loving, caring and helpful person we've ever known. He would do anything for anyone, but especially for his 3 girls. He was the one person who could make you laugh and keep you smiling. This man was more than our father, he was our world, and although he is no longer physically with us, we will always keep him alive through our Memories, our own special bond we each had with him, and the love we all shared will keep him here with us in spirit and in our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you so much, Daddy. Save a spot for us in heaven. Love always, your daughters Christy, Lori, and Nikki
