Mr. Isbell died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clinton-Hickman Nursing Home.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, Willie and Clifford Isbell; six daughters, Lula Weaver, Susan Swift, Jean Epps, Charlene Rainey, Gladys Sherood and Helen Stewart; 79 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Isbell; three brothers; and three sisters. His parents were Ethan and Lula Yarbro Isbell.
