NOTE: Arra Jarrett Miller was named for her paternal aunt Arra Jarrett Davis. Please do not attach Davis names as husband or children to this record. Arra Jarrett Davis is buried on her homestead in Big Laurel in Madison County, N.C.

Arra Jarrett Miller's first husband was Lafayette M. Rawlings, born about 1838 in Virginia and died 1926 in Clay County, Kentucky. They married January 27, 1917, per Clay County Marriage Index, 1807-1923. Mr. Rawlings was a former postmaster whose first wife, Frances Koger, died in 1916. Frances is buried in Macedonia Cemetery. The marriage index stops at 1923 - Arra married Francis Miller between 1926 and 1930. Arra ordered Francis Miller's Civil War tombstone January 25, 1932. She traveled back to Madison County, NC in the mid-1950's to visit relatives, and stayed with her niece, Sarah Jane Buckner Gentry. Several living relatives remember that visit. Arra fell in her home in 1958, and a stroke was the cause of her death.
