Frederick was an accountant with Scripps Enterprises Inc. in Charlottesville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Frederick loved his daughter, Reese, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandfather, George Wood; and his paternal grandfather, Paul Ahalt.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Walker Ahalt; and his daughter, Reese Arlene Ahalt, both of Stanardsville. Additional survivors include his maternal grandmother, Virginia Wood of Afton; his paternal grandmother, Marguerite Ahalt of Pearisburg; and a sister, Paul Ahalt Skkulina and her husband, David, both of Lynchburg. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Dorothy Walker, both of Batna; and a number of additional family members.
A private graveside service will be held at the Ahalt family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Found and Sons Funeral Home chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1747, Culpeper, Va. 22701. Found and Sons Funeral Home of Culpeper is in charge of arrangements.
