Gertrude Elizabeth Reed of Louisa, Kentucky departed her earthly dwelling with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012, while a patient at the Three Rivers Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Hensley and Rushia Calhoun. The Lord blessed he with 90 wonderful years and three loving husbands who preceded her in death, John Kirk, Tom Slone and John Bryant.

Mrs. Reed was a faithful member of the Nolan Freewill Baptist Church for more than 55 years. She owned and operated the Slone Grocery Store at Nolan for many years. Together, their love for the outdoors and fishing was evident by their move to Yatesville Lake where they enjoyed fishing, boating, and the outdoors. She was a fighter and survivor of breast cancer.
