Luis Amado Matos, 84, husband of the late Idali (Olmo) Matos passed away at Regional Medical Center, San Jose. Luis was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Ignacio and Amelia (Reyes) Matos. He was a California resident since 1976. Luis was a retired US postal worker.
Luis Amado is survived by daughter, Mercedes (Matos) Millhouse and husband, Jim, CT; sons, Luis Amado Matos, Jr. and companion, Melisande Hoffmann, PA, Jose Ignacio Matos and wife, Virginia (Munoz) Matos, Modesto, Luis Eduardo Matos, Campbell, Daniel Matos, San Jose, Ruben Matos and wife, Hilda, Glendale, AZ; daughter, Idali (Matos) Garcia, San Jose; sons Felix Matos, Concord, Gregory Matos, San Jose and Orlando Matos and companion, Elizabeth Munoz, San Jose. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a special great-nephew, Emilio Legono and his first wife, Cecilia Reyes, FL. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his infant son, Eliezer Matos; brothers, Armindo Matos, Castro Matos, and sister Monin Matos.
