Jennie N. Abrachinsky, 93, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday at home.
Born in Jenners, June 15, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie Ditkewich Ross.
Jennie was the widow of Albert J. Abrachinsky Jr., who passed away July 31, 2008.
She had worked as a machine operator in the textile industry.
Jennie was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and was a former member of Mary Queen of Peace Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie is preceded in death by two daughters, Joanne Baumann and Sandra Webber; two brothers, Charles and Joseph Ross.
She is survived by a daughter, Leona Matz and her husband, Steve, Pottsville; a son, Leo Walchak and his wife, Donna, Liverpool; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Leibel and her husband, Norman, Greentown; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday at the church. Interment will follow mass at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. At the family's request, memorial donations in Jennie's memory may be sent to National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Attn: Memorial Donations, 30 S. 17th St., Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or The Michael J.
