Captain, Royal Naval Reserve. Served on H.M.S. Athene. Son of Edward William and Mary Ellen Jones. Husband of Ethel Alice Jones, of West Norwood, London, England. Awarded the Reserve Decoration (RD) - for 15 years active duty. Died aged 47 years in Groote Schuur hospital from injuries sustained in an accident when he was crushed between a launch and the ship he was in the act of leaving during heavy swell.
