David Larry Patterson, age 67, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his home.
He was born on February 23, 1949 in Surry County to the late Charles William (Bill) Patterson and Arlene Steelman Patterson. He graduated from East Surry High School and received his BS in Pharmacy from UNC Chapel Hill in 1972 and his PharmD degree from UNC in 1996. He owned Hospital Pharmacy for 40 years. He was a member of the Mount Airy Rotary Club and served on the Northern Hospital Board of Directors.
Dr. Patterson is survived by his fiancée and life partner, Lee Ann Salyers; two daughters, Jennifer Patterson Mickey and husband, Charlie, Julie Patterson Landen and husband, Chad; one brother, William Douglas Patterson and partner, Tom Bailey; three grandchildren, Addison Mickey, Ada Mickey and Taylor Landen.
Dr. Patterson was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
