Fleta is survived by her son Richard S. Adams and daughter Eileen L. Adams and her grandchildren Raina Bouska, Ilia Jackson, Travis Brown, Chalena Richardson, Richard Michael Adams, Danielle Newman, James T. Farr and great-grandchildren Layla and Phoebe Jackson. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and resided in Schertz, Texas for the last 34 years. She studied commercial art at the University of Idaho and was incredibly gifted as an artist in multiple mediums and calligrapher. As an Air Force wife, she traveled the world with her husband and children and was always a member of the Protestant Women of the Chapel, Officers Wives Club and an award winning volunteer with the American Red Cross. The Adams family would like to give thanks to the close family friends and relatives of Fleta who continued to call, visit, send cards, letters, surprise packages and bring music and joy into her life. A very special thanks to the staff and caregivers at New Haven Memory Care in Schertz, for all the love and kindness that enriched Fleta's final years. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016, 11:30am, at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army.
