Richard passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

He leaves behind sons Ed (Irma) Richard, Ray and Daughter Regina (Albert). Grandchildren Ryan, Chelsea, Richard III, Whitney, Kendra, Rico (Sammie), Trevin (Amanda), Cecily, AJ and Sophia great-grandchildren Corbin and Sienna. Brothers and sisters Eddie, Gilbert, Irene (Leo), Jeannie, Margaret (Lupe), Lordes (Frank).

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Nico, daughter Monica, sister Florene and parents Marcos and Dora Abelia.

Richard is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned several medals including the National Defense Service, Vietnam Service and Marksman (Rifle M-14).

Family & friends are welcome to attend a memorial mass at 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Paul's Catholic Church 8720 Florin Rd., Sac, Ca with a reception to follow. "Honoring those who Served"

Richard will be laid to rest with his late wife Nico at the "Sacramento Valley National Cemetery" 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, Ca Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2PM family and friends are welcome to attend.
