Darrell M. Winter, 73, of Sissonville, passed away on April 12, 2016.

He was retired from Union Carbide and a member of Legg Fork Community Church.

Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Grace Winter; father, Curtis L. Winter; step-mothers, Bernice "Jeffrey" Winter and Maxine Gay "Ord" Winter; brother, George "Rick" Winter; and grandson, Tony Walls.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughters, Teresa Lowe (William), Misty Grady (Billy), Heather Winter (Brian) and Pam Carpenter; their mother, Joyce Sanders Postlethwait; sister, Winnifrede "Wink" Fontalbert (Hoyt); brothers, Curtis "Buddy" Winter (Janet), Roy David Winter (Denise) and Charles Arnold Winter (Ann); sister-in-law, Patti Winter; step-mother, Carmen Smith Winter; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to Dale Burdette, Suzie, Barbara, Anna and Erica Burdette, and Scott and Beth with HospiceCare for their love and support.

Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 19 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Donnie Landers officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery with Military Rites by H.J. Thomas Marine Corps League.

Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
