Joe Dudley Honaker, age 73, of Scott Depot, West Virginia and formerly of Logan, West Virginia, husband of Delores Williams Honaker, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, at his residence. He was a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director and president of Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., 200 Main Street, Logan, West Virginia. Honaker Funeral Home has served Logan, West Virginia since 1973. 1966 to 1973 the name was Honaker-Harris Funeral Home, and prior to 1966 it was the Harris Funeral Home.
Born March 16, 1932, in Hinton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Omer Elliott Honaker and Hazel Honaker Farley. He graduated from Hinton High School. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his sister, Mary Helen Snuffer and brother, Billy Ray Honaker and Ronald E. Honaker.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Irene Williams Honaker (1931-2016), three daughters, Debbie M. Watson of Hurricane, Kristi Lynn (Glenn) Honaker Austin of Elliston, Virginia, and Lisa Renee'(Fred) Honaker-Odom of Limestone, Tennessee, one son Michael J. Honaker, Funeral Director, of Logan, West Virginia
Funeral service is 1 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2006, at Winfield Church of the Nazarene. Interment is in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006, at the funeral home.
