79 year old Dorothy Irene Caplinger of Smithville passed away Saturday, April 9th at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
She was a homemaker & attended the Faith Congregational Methodist Church.

Ms. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents-Floyd and Vena Trapp Carter. Husband-Doyle Caplinger, who she married on July 21, 1956. Grandson-Brian Doyle Pack. 1 Sister- Beulah Mullican. 2 Brothers-Robert and Walter Carter. Father and Mother-in-Law-Delton and Elmer Caplinger. Survivors include a Daughter-Doylene Caplinger of Murfreesboro & a Son-Charlie and Rhonda Caplinger of Smithville. 2 Grandchildren-Michael and Jennifer Caplinger of Smithville. Sister-in-Law-Frankie and Jack Watkins of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the DeKalb County Animal Coalition in memory of Ms. Dorothy.
